A 12-year-old high school kid made $399,000 in 9 hours by selling Minecraft art as NFT

A 12-year-old schoolboy from the UK named Benjamin Ahmed created a collection of Minecraft whale art and sold it for Ethereum.

How much did he get?

The series of stickers was called Weird Whales. It was sold as non-exchangeable tokens (NFT). The value was £290,000 or $399,000.

According to Benjamin, he has been programming since he was five years old. He only found out about NFT tokens at the beginning of this year, which means that it took him about six months to create a collection of 3,350 pictures. The entire batch was sold out in 9 hours. Now the schoolboy from the UK is planning to create a new set of NFT-tokens.
