TV prices will fall in the second half of 2021
In the first half of 2021, TV sets were steadily becoming more and more expensive. The reason is as old as the world, and its name is scarcity. But this time it is not only semiconductors, but also liquid crystal panels.
What is known?
According to analysts, the third quarter of this year will be a turning point. The cost of LCD TVs stabilized in July and even began to decline gradually. Omdia experts say that the downward trend will continue. At least until the end of 2021. But, according to more optimistic forecasts, prices will also decrease next year.
While the rise in TV prices was due to a shortage of panels, the reason for the drop in price was the competition between Chinese and South Korean manufacturers. Meanwhile, most companies have not yet set prices for TV sets for which components were purchased in July. They intend to wait until the end of September this year.
