Evan Blass: Google Pixel foldable smartphone to be released later this year
Google may present its first foldable smartphone as early as the end of 2021.
What is known
The information was shared by the insider Evan Blass (Evan Blass). According to him, the smartphone goes by the codename Passport and its development has been going on for over two years.
Heard from someone I trust that the foldable Pixel -- codename: Passport, retail branding: unknown -- will indeed launch before the end of the year. Apparently they've been working on this device for over two years, and if the P6 is any indication, it'll be worth a look.

Unfortunately, Blass didn't give an exact announcement date for the new device, but we can assume that the device will be shown along with the Confirmed: Google Pixel 6 Pro will support 33W fast charging late this month or early next month. By the way, previously reported, that Google has postponed the presentation of a foldable smartphone until 2022.
Recall, the novelty, if we believe the rumors, will hit the market with the name Pixel Fold. The device will get a form factor like Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Huawei Mate 2, top-end hardware, as well as a screen with teh technology Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG). By the way, the Android 12 code reveals mention of Pixel Fold, Google's foldable smartphone in the Android 12 test build code.
