Amazon will Hold a Presentation on September 28. Looking forward to the New Echo Devices?
Amazon will hold its annual hardware event next week, where it's expected to announce a new line of Echo smart speakers. Last year's event debuted the fourth-generation Amazon Echo and Echo Dot, as well as the third-generation Echo Show 10 (which has since been postponed).
The event will take place on September 28. According to the invitation, Amazon will announce its latest "devices, features and services". So, what can we expect?
An update to the Echo speakers is certain, as the current models were released in 2019 and 2020. But that doesn't at all mean we should expect drastic changes this year. After all, last year saw a redesign - the devices took on a new spherical shape - so the 2021 updates are likely to be more modest.
Amazon is also likely to announce new devices from home security subsidiary Ring, and possibly updates to its gaming service Luna (which launched last year).
The event is by invitation only, so don't expect a public live stream. We await news from the journalists invited to the event.
