Microsoft Surface Pro 8 - 11th generation Intel chips, 120Hz screen and Thunderbolt 4 starting at $1,099
Microsoft has unveiled a tablet computer called Surface Pro 8. The novelty can be considered the biggest upgrade since the Surface Pro 3 premiered in 2014.
The tablet features a 13" PixelSense Flow screen - 0.3" larger than the previous generation. The resolution has grown to 2,880 x 1,920 dots. The default refresh rate is 60Hz, but can increase to 120Hz.
The hardware platform is built around one of two eleventh generation Intel chips, Core i5-1135G7 or Core i7-1185G7. Both have Intel Xe graphics. There's also up to 32GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage on board. Of the interfaces, we note Mini-Jack, USB-C 4.0 / Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. The main camera resolution is 10 MP and the front camera is 5 MP.
Microsoft Surface Pro 8 gets an upgraded Surface Pro Signature Keyboard with Surface Slip Pen 2 stylus. The novelty will go on sale in Platinum and Graphite colors, priced from $1,099. For that money, users will get an Intel Core i5-1135G7-powered version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD.
