Xiaomi's old flagship won't get MIUI 13 and Android 12, but it will support RAM expansion feature
Xiaomi's 2019 flagship smartphone will remain without MIUI 13 firmware and Android 12 operating system. However, it will get support for RAM expansion feature.
What is known?
We're talking about the Xiaomi Mi 9, which was unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2019, the latest full-fledged dock show. Memory Fusion technology will be system-level integrated in MIUI 13, but the two-year-old flagship will get it with a software update.
When the corresponding software update will be released is not yet known. The European version of the smartphone is equipped with 64GB or 128GB of inbuilt storage, which will increase the RAM capacity by 1GB or 2GB, respectively. In China, the model is sold with 256GB of ROM in the top end, which means Memory Fusion technology will give you the ability to create a 3GB virtual partition.
Recall, Xiaomi Mi 9 is equipped with a Super AMOLED screen with integrated biometric sensor, Snapdragon 855 chip and a 3,300mAh battery. The resolution of the main camera in the 2019 flagship is 48 MP + 16 MP + 12 MP, while the front camera is 20 MP. In Europe, the model was sold at a price of €449.
