Xiaomi Black Shark 4S - Snapdragon 870, up to 15GB RAM, NFC, 4,500mAh and 120W charging starting at $420
Black Shark 4S has become another novelty of Xiaomi along with Pro version. The standard gaming flagship has borrowed a lot from its big brother, but there are also many differences.
What do they have in common?
Both novelties are equipped with AMOLED E4 panel with 144 Hz refresh rate and 720 Hz sensor sampling rate. The resolution is 1080 x 2400 dots and the diagonal is 6.67". The company didn't change the front camera either - 20 MP.
In terms of interfaces, everything is also unchanged. There is NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB-C. The biometric sensor remains on the right side of the case along with the mechanical triggers. One of the major chips of the Pro version is here too - a 4,500mAh battery with 120watt charging.
What's the difference?
The key difference between the Black Shark 4S Pro and the older model is the Snapdragon 870 chip instead of the Snapdragon 888+. The single-chip system is complemented by 8/12GB of RAM, and the storage holds 128/256GB of data. The Memory Fusion feature allows you to add 3GB of virtual RAM.
The main camera has changed by a third. Developers have removed the 64 MP sensor. Instead, the main module got a 48-megapixel image sensor. Support for shooting video in 4K UHD with a frame rate of 60 FPS remained. The resolution of the ultra-wide-angle camera and macro module did not change - 8 MP and 5 MP, respectively.
Price of the matter
Of course, the cost is another difference between the standard model and the advanced one. The Xiaomi Black Shark 4S will go on sale with Joy UI 12.8 firmware on Android 11 in three memory modifications:
- 8/128GB - $420
- 12/256GB - $465
- 12/256GB - $510
The company has also introduced a special edition Xiaomi Black Shark 4S Gundam Edition. The limited edition is created in partnership with Bandi Namco. It features unique coloring and an extended package, which includes TWS headphones and a cooler. The price for it is $545. The Gundam Edition is available in 12/256 version only.
