Future AirPods will be able to work like hearing aids, control temperature and posture
A new report claims that Apple is exploring the use of future AirPods to improve hearing and monitor health indicators such as temperature and posture.
Apple is expected to unveil the new AirPods 3 at the Unleashed event next week along with the new mini-LED MacBook Pro, but it's likely that these new features won't be available for a while.
A source writes that it's unclear whether Apple is developing new hearing aid features for the AirPods, or just wants to market existing hearing enhancement features as hearing aids. The best wireless headphones Apple AirPods Pro have a "conversation enhancement" feature that helps people hear conversations.
In addition, the headphones will use the available motion sensors to detect a user's slouch, alerting them to bad posture. It was previously reported that Apple is considering adding light sensors to the AirPods, which can help monitor heart rate, VO2 levels and body temperature.
