OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 8 Pro with software update got Files by Google app and fresh security patch
OnePlus developers have "rolled out" a new software update for last year's OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphones.
What is known
For OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro the system has been released with the build number OxygenOS 11.0.9.9. In the case of OnePlus 8T it is OxygenOS 11.0.11.11. As for the list of changes, it is the same in all devices. The devices got the Files by Google app, which now seems to be used instead of the branded file manager. In addition, the developers added the October security patch to the firmware, which closes some vulnerabilities. The system has also worked on bugs and improved stability.
When to wait for
The update has already started to be received by smartphone owners. If you still don't have OTA you can download the firmware via Oxygen Updater and install it manually.
