The Gigaset GS5 - German quality and extraordinary design for €299
Gigaset has introduced a new mid-range smartphone. It's called the Gigaset GS5, and it's manufactured in Germany at the Bocholz factory.
What's the fruit?
In technical terms, the smartphone is not surprising, but still has a few features. For example, the battery with a capacity of 4500 mAh. Firstly, it is removable, which is now almost uncommon. Secondly, there is support for wireless charging, which is the privilege of flagships. And not all of them.
The camera is worth mentioning separately. Yes, it is modest, but without useless sensors for macro and portrait mode. There is only the main module and ultra-wide-angle of 48 MP and 8 MP, respectively. The camera resolution for selfies is 16 MP.
Gigaset GS5 is equipped with Helio G85 chip, which made its debut in Redmi Note 9 a year and a half ago. The 6.3" IPS screen has an FHD+ resolution. The fingerprint scanner is mounted on the back panel. The smartphone got NFC, Mini-Jack, Bluetooth 5, Wi-Fi 5, GPS and an independent microSD slot.
Another cool feature is the ability to add a unique engraving to the glass rear. The Gigaset can even accommodate a photo under the glass.
Price
It's only available with 4GB of memory and 128GB of storage. The Gigaset GS5 has a recommended price of €299. The smartphone runs on Android 11. The German company promises Android 12 operating system and security patches within three years.
