PlayStation 5 became the first gaming console with full integration with Apple Music

Sony announces that its Apple Music streaming service is now available on PlayStation 5.

How it works

The company emphasizes that the PlayStation 5 is the first gaming console with full integration with Apple Music. Users will be able to listen to music in the background right as they play the game, and also watch clips. They now have access to more than 90 million songs, tens of thousands of carefully selected playlists, music videos in 4K, contemporary hits and classics with country selections live on Apple Music Radio, and personalized playlists created based on your personal music preferences.

To launch Apple Music before or during play, simply press the PS button on the DualSense wireless controller, log into Control Center and select the "Music" (Music Function) card. This will display recommendations for music selection for the running game and playlists, including from your library.

But to get started, PS5 owners need to download the Apple Music app from media on PS5 and link their Apple Music account by following the instructions on screen.
