A photo of a smartphone with a top-of-the-line Snapdragon 898 processor on board has surfaced online

On the expanses of the social network Weibo published a photo of an unknown smartphone, which runs the new Qualcomm processor SM8450.

What is known

It is about the chip Snapdragon 898, which will be the successor to the Snapdragon 888. Judging by the leak, SoC will boast of a high-performance Cortex-X2 core. It will run at a maximum clock frequency of 3.0 GHz. It will also get three mid-range Cortex-A710 cores clocked at 2.5GHz and four power-efficient Cortex-A510 cores at 1.79GHz.

The Snapdragon 898 should also feature a new Adreno 730 graphics accelerator. If rumors are to be believed, it will be 20% more powerful than the Adreno 660 in the Snapdragon 888.

No other chip specifications leak does not reveal, but it is rumored that the SoC will also get an integrated 5G modem Snapdragon X65. It will have a maximum upload speed of 10Gbps.

When to expect

No date yet for Snapdragon 898 announcement, but most likely it will be presented at annual Qualcomm event in December.
