Honor opens first factory after 'divorce' from Huawei - it will be able to produce two devices in less than a minute

Honor opened its first in-house factory after separating from Huawei. The flagship facility is located in Shenzhen Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park.

The new factory can produce two devices in less than a minute (28.5 seconds per device). According to the manufacturer, the level of automation of the lines is 75%. In addition to manufacturing smartphones at the new facility, the company plans to conduct quality monitoring and product certification control, and intends to launch an AI development center.

Honor believes that the factory will be able to ensure that the manufactured gadgets meet high internal quality standards and all requirements. The production facility has automated smartphone assembly systems with an accuracy of 75 microns, which corresponds to the thickness of a human hair.
