ZipCharge Go: an electric "canister" that allows an empty electric car to drive 30 km
British company ZipCharge has introduced a useful accessory for drivers of electric cars - the ZipCharge Go compact charger.
What is known
The novelty looks like a small suitcase. It will allow a discharged electric car to travel 30 km. According to the manufacturer, charging takes about 30 minutes. The device connects to the car using a Type 2 cable. ZipCharge Go supports 4G. That is, it can be controlled remotely.The electric "canister" is charged from an ordinary outlet.
The ZipCharge Go also features a power supply with a bi-directional AC/DC inverter for two-way charging. This allows the unit to conserve power at low prices and return it to the grid during peak hours. The charger is made of aircraft-grade aluminum and recycled plastic. The device has a handle and wheels for easy transportation.
ZipCharge Go will go on sale in 2022. How much the novelty will cost is unknown.
