BYD unveils electric crossover with 510km range, it will cost around $25,000
Chinese car manufacturer BYD has announced its new electric crossover Yuan Plus.
What's known
The car is the company's first electric vehicle, which is built on the BYD e-Platform 3.0 platform. It boasts smart features, efficiency and safety.
The crossover has dimensions of 4455×1875×1615 mm and two configurations. The base one has a range of 430 km and the top-end one has a range of 510 km. Both versions feature a 150 kW electric motor with 310 Nm of torque.
BYD Yuan Plus will be shown live at the exhibition in Guangzhou, which will be held from 19 to 28 November. The novelty is scheduled to hit the market in the first quarter of 2022. According to rumors, they will ask about 25,000 USD for the car . With high probability the car will be sold in Europe.
