Nintendo Switch gets a remake of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl was released for the handheld Nintendo Switch on November 19. This is one of the biggest releases for the platform this fall. Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl based on  Pokémon Diamond & Pearl for the Nintendo DS released in 2006. The basic elements of the game remained the same, but the remake completely redesigned the graphics, made more convenient controls, expanded the dungeon, introduced gameplay amenities, added more options for customization, etc.

At the time of this writing Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl received 77 points out of 100 from critics. As noted in the reviews, the remake carefully reproduces the original. This is both a gift and a curse: not everyone likes the way the 2D visuals with DS look like in 3D, and the gameplay would seem to benefit from radical changes. However, the remake is still an enjoyable game, some reviewers say.
