Odessa police lost a DJI Matrice 300 RTK drone worth UAH 1,500,000 in its first flight - it was shot down by the Ukrainian military

At the end of October 2021, the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odessa region acquired unmanned aerial vehicle DJI Matrice 300 RTK for almost UAH 1.5 million, but the drone did not live long.

What is known

The police decided to test the drone, but they chose not the most suitable place for this. The drone was launched into the sky near the army depots, and after 10 minutes of flight, the DJI Matrice 300 RTK stopped communicating.

At this time, the military contacted the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odessa region, reporting the discovery of an unidentified flying object above the warehouses. The police responded to the signal from the military and even announced a reward of UAH 2,000 to anyone who could find the UAV.

As it turned out, the military themselves coped with the drone - they just shot it down with an automatic burst. Remains of DJI Matrice 300 RTK were released to law enforcement officials.
