OnePlus flagships started receiving OxygenOS 12 firmware on Android 12 again
One and a half weeks ago, OnePlus released OxygenOS 12 firmware with Android 12 operating system for 2021 flagships. After a few days update had to withdraw... But all the problems have already been resolved, and the update is again available for installation.
What is known
The OxygenOS 12 firmware was sent out for a short time. After the update, users started reporting UI inconsistencies, slow animations, and slow speeds when connected to a Wi-Fi hotspot. In addition, in some cases smartphones lost 5G support and the ability to make or receive calls.
Note that the official changelog lists solutions to other issues. For example, improved smoothness of fingerprint unlocking, optimized system power consumption, fixed an issue that caused notifications to disappear from the notification panel. The update also solved the problem of connecting to mobile data, increased the launch speed of the camera application, and added an operating system security patch for December 2021.
The stable version of OxygenOS 12 on Android 12 is sent over the air, but if you wish, you can install the update manually. Downloads are available on the XDA Developers website. Note that so far the company has released only global and Indian firmware versions.
