As planned, Samsung has announced the Galaxy S21 FE flagship smartphone. Rumors about him have been circulating since the spring of last year. The novelty has several key differences over the regular Galaxy S21.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE also has a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with HDR10 + and 120Hz refresh rate, but the diagonal has been increased from 6.2 "to 6.41". The 64 MP module was removed from the main camera. It was replaced by an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x zoom. The resolution of the wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle cameras was 12 MP each. The front camera received a 32 MP image sensor instead of 10 MP.

The novelty is available exclusively with the Snapdragon 888 processor. There is no version for the Exynos 1200. The single-chip system is complemented by 6/8 GB of RAM, and the built-in storage capacity is 128/256 GB. The capacity of the built-in battery has grown from 4000 mAh to 4500 mAh.

Of the minor differences, we note Bluetooth 5.2 instead of Bluetooth 5.0, an optical fingerprint scanner instead of an ultrasonic one and the Android 12 operating system with One UI 4.0 firmware right out of the box. In addition, the new product received IP68 protection, stereo speakers, 25-W wired charging, 15-W wireless, Wi-Fi 6 and NFC.

Prices

The start of sales of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is scheduled for January 11, 2022. The cost of a smartphone in the US starts at $ 699, and in Europe - from € 749. The smartphone will be available in black, blue, white, lavender and olive colors.
