A day before the presentation, all the main characteristics of the flagship smartphones iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro appeared on the Web. There is still no pricing information available.

iQOO 9

The standard model will be equipped with a 6.78 ”FHD + AMOLED display. The screen will receive support for 120 Hz and an integrated optical sensor for fingerprint scanning.

The resolution of the main camera in iQOO 9 will be 50 MP (Samsung GN5) + 13 MP (130 °) + 12 MP (portrait module). For lovers of selfies, a front-facing camera based on a 16-megapixel image sensor will be provided.

The heart of tomorrow's novelty will be the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chip. The 4700 mAh battery will receive support for fast charging 120 W over the wire and 50 W wirelessly. The amount of RAM will be up to 12 GB, and ROM - up to 256 GB.

iQOO 9 Pro

The older version will also receive a 6.78 ”AMOLED matrix diagonally with support for 120 Hz. In this case, there will be used a more interesting LTPO 2.0 panel with curved edges and WQHD + resolution. An ultrasonic fingerprint scanner will be integrated into the display.

Optical stabilization will appear in the main camera, and the company will create another 50 MP sensor for the Samsung GN5 sensor, but already as part of an ultra-wide-angle module (150°). The camera resolution for selfies will also be 16 MP.

The iQOO 9 Pro, along with the standard edition, will receive the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 with a 4700 mAh battery. The charging power is the same (120W and 50W). In terms of the amount of RAM and permanent memory, we will not see any differences either.

When to expect

The presentation of iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro will take place on January 5, 2022. Both models will go on sale with pre-installed Android 12, supplemented by the new OriginOS Ocean shell.
