Google advises employees to refrain from using chatbots, including Bard
Alphabet has issued a directive to its employees on the use of chatbots. The tech giant has urged them to be extremely careful, including with its own development Bard.
Here's What We Know
Google's parent company has advised employees not to enter sensitive data into chatbots with artificial intelligence. The holding company's management fears that platform developers could read correspondence and take possession of sensitive information.
Language models are also additionally trained on chatbots by users. This creates another risk of leaks.
In addition, Alphabet has asked engineers to avoid direct use of computer code generated by chatbots.
The company has confirmed the existence of such guidelines. According to an Alphabet spokesperson, this is a long-standing policy to protect corporate information.
