42% of CEOs believe AI will destroy humanity

A new survey of CEOs of major companies has revealed that 42% of them foresee the destruction of humanity by artificial intelligence in the next decade.
Here's What We Know
A total of 119 executives from different business sectors took part in the study. Respondents included Walmart CEO Doug McMillon, Coca-Cola CEO James Quincy, as well as the heads of Xerox, Zoom and other pharmaceutical, media and manufacturing companies.
34% of them said AI could potentially destroy humanity in ten years. 8% said it could do so in five years' time. 58% of respondents are confident it will never happen, and they are "not worried".
Also, 42% of executives surveyed believe the potential disaster of AI is exaggerated, while 58% say otherwise.
