Google's Duet AI has learned how to generate custom templates in Sheets

A feature has been added to the test version of Google Workspace for Sheets, which generates a custom document template based on a text prompt.

According to Google, the feature will come in handy for users for tasks that require complex organization and tracking. The company cited templates for product roadmaps, retreats and team budgets as examples.

If the feature works as intended, it will save a lot of time, the developers believe. It is currently available at Workspace Labs.

Google plans to add more generative AI features to Workspace Labs in the coming months. In addition, chatbot Bard can now export the data it creates to Sheets, where users can organize and modify it.
