Amazon will add artificial intelligence to National Football League (NFL) game broadcasts

Amazon will use artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve its Thursday Night Football (TNF) broadcasts of National Football League (NFL) games.

Here's What We Know

One of the new features is Prime Vision. This is an alternative stream that shows various graphics on the screen during the game so viewers can see real-time stats and analysis.

For example, using AI, Amazon can predict when defenders will attack the quarterback, highlight open receivers, or recommend a strategy on fourth down. These features are based on MO neural networks that are trained on 35,000 game situations.

Amazon also plans to integrate its other products and services with football broadcasts, especially during Black Friday. Viewers will be able to access exclusive offers and discounts directly from Prime Video.

It will also be the first time Amazon will stream games in HDR format, which provides brighter and richer colours.

Amazon hopes that the use of AI and MO will help attract more football fans and increase subscriber satisfaction. TNF's first game of the 2023 season will take place on 14 September between the New York Giants and Washington Commanders.
