Google will add AI algorithms from Meta and Anthropic to its cloud platform, as well as update the PaLM 2 language model
At the Next '23 conference, Google announced the addition of artificial intelligence tools from Meta and Anthropic to its cloud platform.
Here's What We Know
Google's cloud customers will have access to Meta's Llama 2 big language model, as well as Anthropic's Claude 2 chatbot. This will allow developers to customise enterprise data in their apps and services.
The move is part of the company's efforts to position its platform as a one-stop shop where users can freely choose their AI models. Google said more than 100 artificial intelligence algorithms and tools are now available to customers of its cloud service.
In addition to adding third-party models, Google said it is enhancing its own AI-based tools. The PaLM 2 large language model is now available in 38 languages. It also better analyses long documents such as scientific articles, books and legal memos, the company said.
In addition, Codey's code-writing model and Imagen's text-to-image app have also received updates.
