Baidu unveiled 10 new AI-powered apps after the public launch of chatbot Ernie
Chinese tech giant Baidu has announced more than a dozen new apps based on artificial intelligence.
Here's What We Know
One of the new products is a generative AI-integrated word processing application called WPS AI, created by Kingsoft Office. The tool was built using the Ernie chatbot base model and Baidu's Qianfan cloud-based AI platform.
Baidu also announced that more than 6 million users have used the AI-powered tool embedded in its own Google Drive analogue. The AI assistant can search for documents, summarise and translate text, and create content, the company claims.
Baidu has also demonstrated generative artificial intelligence-based products that can help with traffic management, financial research and coal mine logistics.
It is currently unknown which of these products are available for public use.
