Google is integrating chatbot Bard into Assistant for personalised responses
At the Made by Google event, the company announced the merger of the Bard chatbot and Assistant voice assistant. This will allow to give personalised answers to user queries.
Here's What We Know
According to Google, the combination of Bard's "generative thinking" and Assistant's "personalised assistance" will make it more useful for different tasks like planning trips or writing messages.
It will be possible to interact with the revamped Assistant using text, voice and images.
Here's How It Works
For example, a user can ask Assistant for route advice for a hike with their dog by sending a photo of a signpost on a trail. Assistant will give a personalised recommendation.
The feature is still being tested. It will arrive on Pixel 8 smartphones in the coming months, and then on Android and iOS.
