OpenAI has announced the withdrawal from beta of the web browsing feature in ChatGPT chatbot, as well as the launch of a preview version of the DALL-E 3 image generation tool.
Here's What We Know
The web browsing feature, officially named Browse with Bing, no longer requires activation in settings. It is now available by default in the GPT-4 model selection menu.
This feature is important because by default the chatbot has knowledge until September 2021. ChatGPT can now perform tasks that require up-to-date information, according to the company.
DALL-E 3 is now available to ChatGPT subscribers in beta testing mode. Unlike its predecessor, the new version is integrated into the chatbot without requiring application switching.
According to OpenAI, DALL-E 3 better understands user requests and corrects images. The model also avoids mimicking artists' styles, reducing the risk of lawsuits.
Both features are available in the paid ChatGPT Plus and Enterprise plans.
