Artificial intelligence will recreate Edith Piaf's voice for a film about the singer's life
A biographical film about Edith Piaf is being made in France, where they will use a voice recreated with artificial intelligence to tell the story on behalf of the singer.
Here's What We Know
According to sources close to Warner Music France, the creation of the reconstructed voice was made possible thanks to modern technology. For this purpose, hundreds of audio and video recordings of Edith Piaf totalling more than 80 years were analysed.
The announcement of the project followed the successful release of The Beatles' new single. It also used AI to pick out John Lennon's vocals from an archive recording and add them to the track.
In the film about Edith Piaf, her voice will narrate the unknown details of the singer's life. Original recordings will be used for Piaf's greatest hits.
The film is scheduled to be released after the special effects are finalised.
