OpenAI has announced a temporary suspension of new user registrations for its paid ChatGPT Plus subscription due to a surge in demand for AI services that the servers can't handle.

According to the head of the company, Sam Altman, the number of people wanting to subscribe to ChatGPT Plus surged after the announcement of the new tools. This led to the current capacity of the OpenAI infrastructure being exceeded.
