Microsoft has been given an observer seat on the OpenAI board and Sam Altman has returned as CEO

Microsoft has joined the new OpenAI board of directors as a non-voting observer, and Sam Altman has officially been reinstated as CEO.
Here's What We Know
Altman was joined by OpenAI co-founder Greg Brockman, who returned as president. Interim CEO Mira Murati has taken up her former position as CTO.
A new board of directors headed by ex-CEO of Salesforce Bret Taylor has also been confirmed. It also includes economist Larry Summers and Quora co-founder Adam D'Angelo.
Earlier, there were reported concerns about D'Angelo's conflict of interest as Quora uses OpenAI models. However, Altman assured that the interaction was transparent.
