OpenAI company is actively promoting corporate solutions based on generative AI, but some top managers warn against inflated expectations. In their opinion, the technology is not yet ready to fundamentally change business processes.

Here's What We Know

This is the opinion of OpenAI chief operating officer Brad Lightcap. According to him, many companies expect AI to immediately solve a lot of problems, reduce costs and provide growth. In fact, so far it's just an experimental technology without widespread practical application.

OpenAI launched the enterprise version of ChatGPT in August 2023. Since then, many firms have had time to take advantage of the offering, but Lightcap said there are still many companies on the waiting list.

Some early users of ChatGPT Enterprise have complained about the quality of the AI experience. According to The Information, Morgan Stanley employees still prefer to chat with live colleagues rather than a chatbot.

There have also been failures in the media industry, where AI has failed to generate quality news content. This has led many publishers to abandon related experiments.

Lightcap dodged questions about OpenAI's day-to-day operations after recent staffing changes.
