Snapchat+ subscribers can now use AI to create or expand images in the app

Subscribers to the premium version of Snapchat+ can now use artificial intelligence to expand or crop images in the app.
Here's What We Know
For example, a user has taken a photo of a pet, but the pet is too close. To fix this, you can tap on the crop button on the right menu and then tap on the enlarge button at the bottom. The AI will then automatically enlarge the image and add a relevant background.
The updated My AI also allows subscribers to directly generate shots by typing a simple prompt. This is done by tapping the "AI" button on the right side of the viewfinder, typing in the prompt and waiting for the result.
Another new feature is creating fantasy portraits with friends in the Dreams app. After selecting a friend, the AI will draw a shared portrait that can be shared.
As before, Snapchat+ subscribers get one pack of eight such portraits each month. Additional packs cost $0.99 each.
Snapchat's efforts to integrate AI are paying off with increased interest in the paid version of the app. Over the past three months, Snapchat+ subscribers have grown from 5 million to 7 million.
