Robo-courier developer Nuro has signed an agreement with autonomous driving test software firm Foretellix to optimise R&D costs through virtual world testing.
Here's What We Know
According to Nuro's founder, the company is looking to operate more efficiently. That said, no significant changes to the firm's plans are expected.
Foretellix software will allow millions of test scenarios to be automatically modelled for Nuro's autonomous driving system. This will reduce the startup's engineering workload and test time compared to in-field testing.
The partnership comes amid big changes in the industry, with Cruise and TuSimple recently announcing layoffs and Argo AI shutting down altogether.
According to Foretellix, the companies have been in talks for about a year. At this point, they have already started working together.
