Pennsylvania state officials are launching a pilot programme to use ChatGPT Enterprise from OpenAI to improve the efficiency of administrative tasks for state employees.
Here's What We Know
The launch of the pilot was announced this month by Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro. Staff from the state's Office of Administration will participate. ChatGPT access may be expanded to other state employees in the future.
Today, I'm announcing that my Administration is launching a first-in-the-nation Generative AI pilot for Commonwealth employees with @OpenAI.

Generative AI is here and impacting our daily lives now - and we're harnessing its benefits while mitigating its potential risks.
State officials said they will consider feedback from the first batch of employees before issuing another 100 licences to access ChatGPT Enterprise.
State employees will use ChatGPT to create texts, update outdated documents, create job descriptions and coding. Ultimately, this should improve the quality of government services for citizens, according to the Pennsylvania governor's office.
That said, state residents will not interact directly with ChatGPT. Also, citizens' data will not be used for the work.
At the end of the pilot, the authorities will decide which other agencies can benefit from the use of generative AI.
