Samsung is planning to provide access to artificial intelligence-based features from its new flagship Galaxy S24 smartphones on older models.
Here's What We Know
According to a leak on Reddit and data from Samsung UK's website, no less than four Galaxy AI features will appear in updates for owners of last year's Galaxy. We're talking about services such as Google's Circle to Search, Live Translate, Note Assist, and Photo Assist.
Specifically, Live Translate is integrated into the Samsung Dialer app, Note Assist into Samsung Notes, and Photo Assist into Galley. This will extend the convenience of artificial intelligence to a larger audience.
Meanwhile, a number of key innovative Galaxy AI features are not yet mentioned as being available for older Galaxy. These include keyboard text generator, audio transcribing and others. Company representatives are yet to comment directly.
At the Unpacked event, Samsung told reporters that it will bring some Galaxy AI features to previous devices. It only mentioned Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Tab S9 users, but didn't go into details.
