The return of Sunbird: The most secure way to messaging on Android
Sunbird, the popular messaging app that was temporarily suspended due to security issues, is back on the market with significant improvements.
Here's What We Know
After being criticised for lacking adequate encryption, the company has announced a comeback with the relaunch of its app, which now promises the highest standards of privacy and security for users.
One of the key updates is the transition to the AV2 encryption protocol, which is specifically designed to improve the security of messaging. This new system, known as AV2, uses the MQTTS application to securely process messages, ensure encryption and maintain the confidentiality of user data.
In addition to the technical updates, Sunbird is also undergoing organisational changes to ensure the highest level of security. The company has engaged independent security consultancy CIPHER for additional protection and has appointed Jared Jordan, former CTO of the Google Gmail team, as an advisor.
