Acer announced the world's lightest laptop, equipped with a 16" OLED display. It is called Acer Swift Edge.
Here's What We Know
The notebook is equipped with Ryzen 6000 and Ryzen PRO 6000 processors on Zen 3+ architecture, which are made according to 6 nm technology. To protect against cyber attacks, a Microsoft Pluton chip is used, which is designed to secure computers with Windows 11 operating system.
The Acer Swift Edge has an organic LED display with a resolution of 3840 x 2400 pixels with 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. The response time is less than 0.2 ms and brightness is 500 nits. The screen measures 16" and meets VESA DisplayHDR™ True Black 500 and TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe standards. Thin bezels provide 92% of the screen's usable space.
The power system is represented by a 54Wh battery. The manufacturer claims 10.5 hours of continuous video playback and 8 hours of web browsing. The list of interfaces includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB-C, USB-A, HDMI 2.1 and Mini-Jack.
Price
In the United States, the Acer Swift Edge will be sold with the Ryzen 7 6800U chip, 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 1TB SSD drive. The official manufacturer's recommended price is $1,500.
