NVIDIA introduced five next-generation GeForce RTX 40 mobile graphics cards based on Ada Lovelace architecture
NVIDIA announced five more models together with the desktop graphics card GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. This time for notebooks.
Here's What We Know
The mobile flagship of the Ada Lovelace generation is called the GeForce RTX 4090. It is equipped with a GPU with 9728 CUDA cores and a frequency of 1455-2040 MHz. The volume of GDDR6 memory is 16 GB, and the bus bit is 256 bits. The graphics card consumes 80-150W.
One step lower in the hierarchy of mobile graphics cards is located GeForce RTX 4080. She got GPU with 7424 stream processors and a frequency of 1350-2280 MHz. The consumption has been reduced to 60-150W. The card got 4 GB less memory and 192-bit bus.
Then there are GeForce RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 models with 8 GB of GDDR6 video memory, 128-bit bus support and 35-115W consumption. The RTX 4070 features a GPU with 4608 CUDA cores and 1230-2175 MHz. Under the hood of the RTX 4060 there is a chip with 3072 stream processors and the frequency is 1470-2370 MHz.
GeForce RTX 4050 model completes the parade of new products. It was no exception and also has GDDR6 memory. But it provides only 6 GB. The bus bit rate is 96 bits. The power consumption is 35-115 W. The GPU has 2560 CUDA cores and a frequency of 1605 to 2370 MHz.
Between novelties there are a few more common parameters. In particular, they all support third-generation ray tracing, have fourth-generation tensor cores and have DLSS 3. Also note support for DirectX 12 Ultimate.
Price & When We Can Expect It
Naturally, the new graphics cards will only be sold as part of notebooks. The first models with GeForce RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 will appear on February 8 at a price starting at $2000. Laptops with cheaper graphics cards will be available for at least $1000 starting February 22nd.
