ASUS adds a 300Hz Fast IPS Quad HD monitor to the ROG Strix 27" series

A new monitor has been added to the ROG range. ASUS has announced the gaming novelty XG27AQMR, which will replace last year's monitor XG27AQM.

Here's What We Know

The gaming monitor features a QHD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and 1ms response time. It features a Fast IPS matrix which supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-Sync along with Extreme Low Motion Blur for motion blur. Low Blue Light technology is provided to reduce the impact of blue light.

The ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQMR has a maximum brightness of 650 nits and is VESA DisplayHDR600 certified. Typical brightness is 350 nits and the DCI-P3 colour range coverage is 97%.

Two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 and a Mini-Jack are fitted at the bottom of the monitor. The stand allows for height, tilt and angle adjustment.

Price & When We Can Expect It

The ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQMR's price is not specified, nor is the launch date. Last year's ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQM monitor now costs $650 in the US.
