Garmin announces Forerunner 965 smartwatch for athletes for $600

Along with the Forerunner 265 and Forerunner 265S, Garmin has introduced a more expensive smartwatch. The third new product is called the Garmin Forerunner 965.

Here's What We Know

The smartwatch features a round-shaped display. It has a diameter of 1.4" and a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels. It is based on an AMOLED panel with Always-on Display feature. The matrix is protected by Gorilla Glass DX. The watch has 5ATM protection and weighs 53g.

The Garmin Forerunner 965 is equipped with GPS and SatIQ technology, which automatically adjusts the navigation mode to minimise battery consumption. It has a maximum battery life of 23 days. In location tracking mode, the watch can last 31 hours.

Like other devices, the Garmin Forerunner 965 has heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring. The watch also counts calories burned, distance travelled and tracks how much you've exercised, how fit you are and how recovered you are.

Price & When We Can Expect It

Unlike the Garmin Forerunner 265 and Forerunner 265S, which are already on sale for $450, the third novelty will have to wait. Sales of the Garmin Forerunner 965 will start in 5-8 weeks. The smartwatch has been priced at $600.
