ID.7: Volkswagen's premium electric liftback with a range of up to 700 km
Volkswagen, after months of various rumours, leaks and teasers, has announced the ID.7 premium electric liftback.
Here's What We Know
The novelty has a length of 4961mm and a wheelbase of 2966mm. The electric car's dimensions are larger than those of the current generation Passat. The car is equipped with an electric motor with 286 hp and a battery with a capacity of 83 kWh or 91 kWh. The former will be able to drive up to 700 km on a single charge (on the cycle WLTP), the latter up to 615 km (on the cycle WLTP). The car supports charging with up to 200 kW of power.
As for the cabin, the ID.7 gets a 15-inch screen, adaptive cruise control, projection display, lighting, massage and heated seats and a Harman/Kardon audio system. It has 14 speakers with 700 watts of power. The luggage space is 532 litres. The car has adaptive matrix headlights and a monochrome panoramic roof with five levels of transparency.
Price & When We Can Expect It
Volkswagen will start production of the ID.7 in the second half of the year. The electric car will be sold in Europe and China. Pricing is not yet available.
