Dell introduces UltraSharp 38 with a curved IPS Black WQHD+ display for $1530

The American giant Dell has announced a new UltraSharp series monitor. The model is called the Dell UltraSharp 38 and is designated U3824DW.

Here's What We Know

The Dell UltraSharp 38 features an IPS Black display with a resolution of 3840 x 1600 pixels, which corresponds to the WQHD+ format. The panel has a contrast ratio of 2000:1, a brightness of up to 300 nits and a 37.8" diagonal. Frame refresh rate is the standard 60Hz, response time is 5ms and DCI-P3 colour gamut is 98%.

The monitor is equipped with a curved LCD matrix, which has a curvature radius of 2300R. In simple terms, the display is part of a circle with a radius of 2300 mm, i.e. 2.3 metres. The aspect ratio is 21 to 9.

The Dell UltraSharp 38 doesn't suffer from a lack of connectors. The monitor comes with DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1 (x2), Ethernet, USB-A 3.2 Gen2 (x4, 10Gbps), USB-A 3.2 Gen2 (x2, 10Gbps, 15W), USB-C 3.2 Gen2 and USB-C with up to 90W connectivity. The device also gets a headphone jack and 9W speakers.

Price & When We Can Expect It

The cost of Dell UltraSharp 38 is $1530. US residents will be the first to buy the new monitor. The model will be available on the US market on June 22 this year.
