Sony unveils $900 ultra-wide-angle camera ZV-1 II
Sony has introduced the second generation of its video blogging camera. The new product is called the Sony ZV-1 II.
Here's What We Know
The camera is equipped with an Exmor RS 1.0 sensor with a resolution of 20.1 MP. The image sensor is paired with the new ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T*18-50mm lens, which has an aperture of f/1.8-4. The model also gets the BIONZ X image processor. In comparison, the Sony ZV-1 comes with a 24-70mm lens with an aperture of f/1.8-2.8.
The Sony ZV-1 II can shoot low-noise video in low light. ISO sensitivity ranges from 125 to 12,800. S&Q Shoot Mode lets you vary the speed of the video from 5x slow motion to 60x acceleration. No optical stabilisation is available.
The camera has support for Cinematic Vlog Setting. The Cinematic Vlog Mode shoots movies at 24 FPS and a 2.35 to 1 aspect ratio. The ZV-1 II is connected to a smart phone using a USB cable. In this mode, the device can be used as a webcam.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The manufacturer's recommended price for the Sony ZV-1 II is $900. The camera is scheduled to go on sale in June 2023.
