Google announced a feature that allows an Android smartphone to detect an unknown AirTag

Google has announced a useful feature that allows Android smartphones to prevent unwanted surveillance of users.

Here's What We Know

All Android 6.0 devices will be able to alert their owners if there are nearby tracking trackers. That is, if a Bluetooth tracker gets separated from its owner and is near you for a while, you will receive a notification on your device. By tapping on the notification, you can find out more information about the tracker and view a map that marks the places where it has travelled with you. You can also turn on the sound on the tracker to determine its exact location.

In addition, if you hold the tracker to the back of your smartphone, it will show its serial number or additional information about the owner. For example, the last four digits of his phone number. You can also find out how to completely disable the tracker so that the owner can't get your location in the future.

At the moment, the innovation only works with Apple AirTag, but Google is already in talks with other manufacturers to introduce the new feature.
