DJI announced the FlyCart drone with a maximum payload of 40kg at a price of $17,000
Chinese company DJI, the global market leader in civilian drones, has announced a new cargo drone. It is called DJI FlyCart.
Here's What We Know
The drone is equipped with eight propellers, which are arranged in pairs on four beams. DJI FlyCart is available in several configurations that differ in maximum payload and range.
The drone functions in two modes: tether and container. The former uses a 20-metre tether that works with loads weighing up to 40kg. An important feature is the anti-sway technology. The second mode of operation uses a 70-litre container with a flight stabilisation function.
The maximum payload capacity of the DJI FlyCart is 40kg. In this mode, the drone can reach speeds of up to 20 m/s and is equipped with a single battery. If a second battery is installed, the payload capacity is reduced to 30kg.
DJI FlyCart has a range of 28 kilometres without cargo and 16 kilometres with cargo. The maximum flight altitude is 6,000 metres. The drone operates in a temperature range of -20° C to +45° C and is not afraid of wind speeds of up to 12 metres per second.
The drone has 4G support. The UAV is equipped with binocular cameras and radar, on the basis of which the collision avoidance system is based. The range of video stream transmission is 20 kilometres.
The cost of DJI FlyCart 30 is not specified.
