Samsung has launched a 98" diagonal 8K QLED TV with Quantum Mini LED backlight for a price of $40,000

Samsung has another giant TV in its range that costs like a car. The Neo QLED 8K QN990C series model is labelled QN98QN990CFXZA.

Here's What We Know

The TV is equipped with a 98" diagonal display with Quantum Mini LED backlighting. It is based on an 8K ULTRA HD (7680×4320 pixels) QLED panel, which is capable of reproducing billions of colours.

The problem with many 8K TVs is the lack of 4320p resolution content, Samsung's Neo QLED 8K QN990C lineup solves this by adding artificial intelligence algorithms that upscale the picture to 8K.

Price & When We Can Expect It

The TV is already available for purchase in the US. The official manufacturer's recommended price is $40,000.
