Garmin has unveiled an updated Tactix 7 smartwatch with AMOLED display for $1400
In addition to the new Vivoactive 5 model we wrote about earlier, Garmin has also unveiled the updated Tactix 7 smartwatch.
Here's What's New About It
The Tactix 7 line debuted almost 18 months ago. Back then, Garmin released three versions: Standard, Pro and Pro Ballistics. And now the range has been expanded with the Tactix 7 AMOLED Edition.
As you have obviously already guessed, the novelty is characterised by the presence of an AMOLED display, while the previous versions have a MIP LCD screen. The resolution has increased to 454×454 pixels (compared to 280×280 pixels). In addition, the AMOLED screen supports always-on display (AoD) mode. Although it reduces the battery life from 31 days to 11 days. If you add GPS enabled to AoD as well, that time drops to 58 hours.
Other features remain the same: 10 ATM water resistance, MIL-STD-810 military standard protection, titanium frame, built-in torch, wearer activity tracking, heart rate and blood oxygen level measurement, sleep monitoring and special tactical features (night vision compatibility, stealth mode and emergency switch).
The updated Tactix 7 is available in one case size (51mm) in black colour for $1400.
