Nio unveiled its first smartphone with a 120Hz LTPO OLED screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, Sony camera and electric vehicle integration
After a year of rumours and leaks, Chinese electric car manufacturer Nio has finally entered the smartphone market.
Here's What We Know
The first novelty was called the Nio Phone. It is a flagship gadget that is equipped with a 6.81-inch screen with E6 LTPO OLED-matrix, WQHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The panel has a claimed maximum brightness of 1800 nits.
Nio Phone work under the current top processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The novelty also installed a triple main camera with the main sensor Sony IMX707 at 50 MP. It supports optical image stabilisation (OIS). It is complemented by a 50 MP wide-angle lens IMX766 and a 50 MP telephoto lens with support for 2.8x zoom. The front camera in the novelty is 12-megapixel.
The gadget is powered by a 5200 mAh battery. It supports 66W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The device has IP68 water protection. The Nio Phone comes with LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.0 storage and Android operating system with a proprietary interface on top of it. The gadget has integration with Nio's electric vehicles. For example, thanks to UWB technology, the car knows the location of the phone and can automatically close or open the lock. The Nio Phone can also be used to control the air conditioning, music, adjust the seats and recognise the estimated range. On top of that, the novelty can be used as an additional multimedia screen.

Sales of Nio Phone will begin in the near future. The novelty will be available only in China.
