Hisense has unveiled a range of 4K TVs with Obsidian Screen Pro panels with prices starting from $1230

Hisense has announced a new series of TVs. All of them are equipped with displays, which are called Obsidian Screen Pro.

Here's What We Know

The lineup has the designation U8KL, which can be misleading, as the TVs are equipped with 4K ULTRA HD (3840 x 2160 pixels) matrices with Dolby Vision support. The maximum frame refresh rate is 144Hz.

Behind the marketing name Obsidian Screen Pro is a Mini LED panel with 2400 backlight points and anti-reflective coating. The DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage of Hisense's new TVs is 98%.

The hardware platform is built around the Xinxin X chip. The processor works in tandem with 4GB of RAM. A 128GB storage is available for installing applications. The TV has also got a sound system with Dolby Atmos support.

Hisense offers panels in three sizes: 65", 75" and 85". The cost in China was $1230, $1700 and $2400 respectively. The most expensive model has a brightness of 3300 nits, while the others have 3000 nits.
